Wellbeing with Miss McGrath

 Today at school we made a fortune teller. First we folded the paper in half and then we folded again. When we finished  the  fortune teller we tried playing it on people. We wrote things like you are a great friend. 

Then we made a compliment circle. For this you give a compliment to someone in the circle. We gave a compliment to someone if we had seen them being kind. It is kind of like certificates but You get to say it to that person.

  After that  we played a fun musical gratitude game. Where you are saying something you are grateful for, something  at your house or at school. When the music stops  you have to go to the closest person  and tell them something you're grateful for.

I felt good after lots of fun work it was a really fun morning.  

 On Thursday my class went swimming. We had to get on the bus to go to Cameron pools. When we got there first we got changde. Then we got in the pool it was chilly. Then it soon became more  warm. Then my swimming  teacher said its time to do strokes, after that we did streamline and back strokes. we had to float and look at the ceiling with out tummies up Then it was time to go back and we got out the pool and on the bus back to school. 

Anzac Trench

 On Wednesday I went  to school and there was a crowd of people. and then some one said  there is string all over the classes. So when we got let in, the teachers Se id had to be under string for hours. If we went over the string we got shot by a Nerf gun. and we  had ten lives or putting your head up above the string. I felt like I was in the war and I would  hate to being the war. the soldiers would have been very scared. In in the end of happy to be back on my feet.  

Duffy Theatre

 On Thursday we had a nice surprise at school. There was an exciting duffy show. It was about the lockdowns last year.  Duffy , Sista and their  gramma were  in the show. My favorite part was when duffy fell down the hole because  he didn’t see the hole. The tractor and the audience pulled him out of the hole. My least favorite part was when they were on the zoom call, because it wasn’t funny. We sang the duffy song as well. I really enjoyed the show.

Family fun day

On Friday we had a Family fun day. It was cool because  we got to go on Bouncy castle 

 for a  hour, Then we got to go on the other Bouncy castle for an hour.  One bouncy castle was a water slide and the other was an obstacle course. My favourite bouncy castle was the obstacle course because I got to race people. Then we got to ride around on the scooters, bikes,Skateboards.Then finally the slip and slide, I zoomed so fast. And we went flyng into the red mats. I felt happy that I came to the great day.

 Kia ora last Friday there was an earthquake off NZ.  I got alert on my I phone. My mum said we have to  go and evacuate, but our car broke down. So me and my family went to the office at the camp ground. The  kind manager  gave us their car. We went up the hill  and there was a police check point.They were making sure that people were doing the right thing. Then they let us go. and we got to the top of the  hill .We waited and waited for two hours, then lady took us in her house . We had scones and fruit. Her house was up really  high on the hill. After couple of hours we got another alert to say we could go home. So we went to the car and drove back to the camp ground. The alerts were really loud and I was really scared at first because I could see the waves. If we have another Tsunami I would know what to do.

LEGO workshop

On Wednesday we did a Lego workshop. It was fun because we got to build Lego and I got a prize. We learnt how to build very cool things with Lego.

We got to choose, on our last turn, the station we wanted.  All the stations were fun.  I would want to have more time to do more stations.
